Sequoiadendron giganteum - Secuoya gigante y "Toko-Toko"

SEQUOIADENDRON GIGANTEUM - GIANT SEQUOIA

A tall tree, between 50 and 80 metres high, conical in shape with very dense and regular scale-like foliage. These are the biggest trees in the plant kingdom, and can reach a volume of 1,500 cubic metres of wood.

"TOKO TOKO", AMERICAN KING

The giants were created by a craftsman from the Valley of Baztan over 150 years ago. When they dance, it would take a human tower of three people to reach their height. This is the black giant.

Each giant carries a characteristic element. "Toko toko" carries a quiver with arrows and a bow on his back. He is accompanied by two “gaiteros” and a tambourine, as well as three bearers.
