FESTIVALS & OTHER EVENTS

The municipality of Villava was founded in 1184 by king Sancho VI the Wise. It is the typical town developing around the Way of Saint James, since its main street grew as buildings were built on both the sides of the way.

A stone cross marks the limits of the town which, in recent decades, has grown beyond its borders, becoming one of the largest towns in Navarre.
