The icing on the cake for a visit to Pamplona is to take home a memory of your stay, such as a piece of handmade craft, some clothes, or a typical local gastronomic delicacy. The Historical City Centre and the Ensanches neighbourhoods are filled with small local shops and markets, where you can browse, try things on, and buy a special gift to remind you of your stay at Pamplona.

The Santo Domingo Market, located in the very heart of the Historical Centre, has around twenty food stalls where you can find the best products from the region. Here you can buy piquillo peppers, Tudela artichokes, chistorra sausage, and designation of origin cheeses and wines. This municipal market, which dates back to 1324, often holds activities, competitions and events. The city also has another two markets, located in the Segundo Ensanche and Ermitagaña neighbourhoods.

The streets of the Historical Centre are where the most shops can be found. Here you can buy clothes and shoes, perfume, electronic goods, food or craft produce. There are also plenty of gift shops, where you can find original presents for your friends and family, or mementos that will remind you of your visit to Pamplona. Small local businesses are hugely important in this city, and often activities are held to help promote them, with the participation of locals and visitors alike.

Remember to get your Pamplona-Iruña Card from the Tourist Information Office, giving you major advantages and discounts on your purchases from the city, as well as in bars and restaurants, and on visits and trips you enjoy during your stay.
